Privacy Policy for Soon

Effective date: September 1, 2026
Last updated: September 1, 2026

Soon is a countdown app made by GreenVine Cloud LLC ("we", "us").

This policy is written to be read, not to be survived. The short version is at the top and it is accurate; everything below it is detail.

The short version

What stays on your device

Everything you create:

None of this is sent to us. We operate no server that could receive it.

If you turn on iCloud Sync

Your countdowns and their photos are copied to your own private iCloud database, so they appear on your other devices. This is Apple's iCloud, under your Apple Account. We have no access to it — we cannot read it, and it does not pass through us. Apple's handling of that data is governed by Apple's privacy policy.

iCloud Sync is off unless you turn it on, in Settings.

What leaves your device

Crash and app-hang reports — Sentry

When the app crashes, encounters an unexpected error, or freezes, a diagnostic report is sent to Sentry, a service we use to find and fix bugs. A report contains the technical circumstances of the failure: the type of error, where in our code it happened, your device model and iOS version, and a short trail of the app's own internal log lines.

It does not contain your countdowns, their names, their dates, your photos, or any identifier for you. We never attach a user ID to these reports, so we cannot tell one person's crash from another's.

You can turn this off: Settings → About → Send crash reports.

Usage events — Firebase Analytics

To understand which parts of the app people actually use, we record anonymous interaction events: which screen was opened, and whether you are in the trial, have purchased, or the trial has ended.

We never attach a user ID, so these events are not linked to you. They also deliberately exclude anything about your countdowns — no names, no dates, no photos, and not even how many you have. If a screen shows a specific countdown, the event records the kind of screen, never which countdown.

This uses Google's Firebase Analytics. Google's handling of that data is governed by Google's privacy policy.

What we do not do

Permissions the app asks for, and why

The app asks for each of these only at the moment it needs it, never at launch:

PermissionAsked whenWhat we do with it
NotificationsYou add your first reminderSchedule reminders on your device. Nothing about them is sent anywhere.
PhotosYou choose a photo for a countdownCopy the one photo you pick into the app. We do not read your library.
CalendarYou tap Import from CalendarRead your events once so you can pick some to copy. Nothing is written back, and nothing syncs afterwards.

Declining any of them leaves the rest of the app working normally.

Purchases

Soon is a one-time purchase, handled entirely by Apple's App Store. We never see your payment details. The app asks Apple whether this Apple Account has purchased it; Apple's answer is all we receive.

Your choices

There is no account to close, and no request you need to send us to be forgotten — we are not holding anything that identifies you.

Children

Soon is not directed at children, and collects nothing that would identify anyone, of any age.

Where Soon is available

Soon is not currently offered in the United Kingdom or the European Economic Area.

Changes to this policy

If we change it, we update the effective date at the top. If a change means the app starts collecting something new, we will say so plainly here before that version of the app is released.
